Welcome to the forum.

Is the car fitted with Xenon lights?.If so the adjustment should be automatic by way of sensors on the front and rear suspension. These do have a habit of becoming unclipped or broken.

Having Just got a Laguna II with these lights can i ask how bright they should be? As mine whislt giving a nice light arn't as bright as the standard halogen lights of th ecars that were passing me last night. Do you think that the lamps need changing? The car has just passed 4 years old and has done 96000

Welcome to the forum traced,

The previous owner might have adjusted the lights lower as (to answer owen's answer the Xenon lights are a lot brighter than normal halogen bulbs) they are dazzling if not adjusted correctly)

There are basic position adjusting screws in the engine front cross member above each headlight, yellowish colour.

A problem well stated is a problem half solved !
