now the plot thickens as mine has got ultrasonics in the rear facing forward. If I press once the car will central lock, if I press twice the indicators flash rapidly to indicate deadlocked. If I press button (2nd time) and hold then it'll close all indows and sunroof but...

the manual says that if you want to lock the car and disable the ultrasonics i.e. pet in car or wahing it then you should put the keycard in and remove and immediatley put it back in again, then get out and lock the car with a single press and the alarm should 'chirp' 4 times to signal that this has been completed successfully but mine doesn't chirp !

Does the alarm work off the horn or a siren as mines in the garage having a new horn fitted as it didn't work when I bought it or is it a seperate siren ?
If the later then does anyone know where to find the siren to make sure its working !!

hi, just got my alarm book out, i have the 2.2dci initiale, it says Arming, when the doors are shut the turn indicators will flash twice. The protections will become activated once 60 seconds have elapsed. After the system has been armed for at least 60 seconds (when the led of the internal door locking button has gone out) opening of the bonnet, boot one of the doors or intrusion into the passenger compartment will generate a ringing and visual alarm cycle lasting about 30 seconds. The system will remain active at the end of the cycle. That is correct about the deactivation of the ultrasonic sensor. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the replies folks.

Unfortunately I can't find any sensors in the cabin and there are no audible noises when I lock the car via the keycard.
I would have presumed the initiale version of the vehicle would have came with everything!!!

The way things are going I might just go and give it a kick, that should give me a definitive answer lol
