Stronger - 106hp, is little bit quiter - more insulation materials. It has 6th gear so if you drive at more than 130kmh - place were engine goes into more than 3000 rpm in 5th gear, it's better for fuel economy at high speed.

If you look at engine performance diagrams you will see better performance and slightly stronger fuel consumption.

So - 86hp - is good choice. 106hp is more money and more play. I drive 86 hp.

My question is, is a dCi 86 big enough or should I go for the dCi 106 for a little more motorway shove? I don't want an unnecessarily powerful Clio but would like a little more grunt than my present 80, so all advice would be greatly appreciated.
A petrol engine is out of the question, by the way.
