Megane Scenic Boot stuck

Hi all- HELLLLLLLLLLLLLP. About 2 months ago I closed the boot of my S reg Megane Scenic and it wont open - when I click the central locking the button wont shift, when I unlock the central locking I can press the button in however it wont lift. It didnt really bother me at the time. It has finally got to us now with getting the shopping in via dropping the back seats.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I can relate to this, mine is the same. After removing the panel it appears the damn thing is broken inside. When pressing the button in there is nothing to connect the mechanism to the latch.
I will watch anxiously for a suggestion to fix this snag.
