Front drivers seat airbag

My son has hit the kerb and the side airbag has fired. The seat is clearly in need of repair, new airbag and re set etc.
Is this main dealer job or are there others who do it.
Any clues for the Newcastle area.
No doubt a main dealer will take my eyes out.

If he hit a kerb hard enough to activate the airbag it is very possible there is other damage to the steering or suspension - in the interest of safety it may be best to get the car checked out. Renault and no doubt your insurers would insist the airbag be replaced and possibly the activator may need replaced or reprogrammed. Working with airbags can be dangerous - they contain explosives
