Just a question to anyone with an espace... if you use an aftermarket GPS system...where have you mounted it? it seems that the windscreen is too far away to be able to touch the screen on the pda.

It's a fair point. The cubby hole on the dash is great if you can stump up for a re-radiating antenna to pass the signal through the bulkhead/screen. Other than that, it appears the most common place is on the door frame...

Ok..fitted it today, got the pda on the quarter light window, just out of line with the wing mirror... cable is just a bit short so the antenna isnt quite central. removed trim & extended power feed down to outlet on centre console.. looks good ! one MAJOR problem though... i dropped a star bit into the windscreen air vent... lost in the tubes forever !!!

As Selwonk says, the centre cubby and a re-radiating antenna is a really neat fit.

I have a TomTom Go300, looks great, no visible wires, just the small matchbox sized receiver stuck to the windscreen around the rear view mirror. If you want some pics I'll take some and post them. Looks as good as a factory install IMHO. It also means I can run the Talex in the cubby too!

Hi There,

I have used a bracket on other cars before from a company called 'Dash Mount'. They make and sell mobile phone and gps brackets to fit nearly all types of cars. See link below. I have always tend to bye the mobile phone mounts and then built my own fitting device to secure the unit to the mouting plate
