I'm definitely tempted by a scenic. Or maybe I should give up on this idea of diesel economy and go back to petrol power.....
My 2.0l Scenic I manages 38.6 mpg on a 100 mile motorway run, if that helps

The Renault 1.5 dCi engine is capable of excellent economy. I only have the Clio, but 65+ mpg is the norm, so a Scenic should be able to do 55-57mpg, as many have said in this thread. The engine is also very refined and seems rather more reliable than the larger Laguna diesels. My car has given no problems over 49,000 miles.
I would have any Renault over a Ford.
