Grand Scenic II - 105dCi queries

Hi There.

I currently have the 04 'original' Grand Scenic 1.6 16V Petrol and I am considering the 105 dCi next time around.

Two questions:
1. Is is powerful enough? It does not have to be a 'rocket' but I don't want a dog either. Any comments on that?

2. Are there any reliability problems with the 105 dCi? As I have the 1.6 petrol and have had the ' coil ' problem, I just wondered are there any horror stories out there?

Thanks in advance

Not sure about extra weight of the Grand Scenic but my small scenic aint no slouch. She has some kind of engine problem at the mo, the dealer can't find owt wrong. Every few days the low end power drops off, so does MPG and it ticks over rough. However that seems like the only thing I can grummble out other than the price of front wiper blades but then again your current model will have same blades.

as jim-t says the "normal size Scenic" is fast enough for me and definately goes well, I haven't had any problems, MPG town driving not too good but really good on a long run.

Life is too short...laugh and enjoy it while you are able to

'24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I Think not !!
