Disability Living Allowance

I'm speechless. I watched a documentary on benefit fraudsters tonight. There was one piece of sh$t who was up and down ladders and climbing on to the top of his transit van when he has been claiming for 6 years that he could not walk without crutches. He was claiming:

Disability Living Allowance
Housing Benefit
Council Tax Benefit

His wife was claiming:

Carers Allowance
Motability Allowance

It's about time this was stopped and the money saved was given to those who really do need the benefit. There was a lady on the program looking after her 14 year old autistic son. She has been a widow for those of 13 years. Because she claims her husband's pension, she gets no carers allowance although she basically looks after her son 24 hours a day. Go figure...

It's absoloutely disgraceful isn't it! they must have no conscience, and to stop honest people like that poor mother of the disabled lad getting what she's entitled to is not on!

There's just too much of this going on, and scum getting away with it!

Yep agreed, I have recently become disabled due to injury at work. I was in my local Social services office about my invalidity benefit (1st time i've ever had to claim anything)and overheard 2 obvious regulars discusing the renovations work they were starting in the office, the conversation was as follows:

Waster 1: What they doin in here now?
Waster 2: It's brutal man, there puttin in a jobseekers office, when you come in for your giro they are gonna make sure your lookin for work before they give you your cheque, f***ing brutal man.
W1; I'm no scared of those bast***s i canny work i've got diabetes, there not forcin me of the brew.

I just couldnt believe my ears! i know firefighters who have diabetes, it can be managed at most levels and it certainley doesn't prevent you from working.
These 2 scumbags went onto discuss ways of convincing jobcentre workers of various things so they could stay on benefits.
I hope they are the first ones who get their benefits cut.

Yep - it must be really galling when you've got a legitimate claim. I think we're just too soft in the UK...

allowance , disability , living
