Espace Workshop Manual

Is there a workshop manual or cd for the latest Espace, I had a french manual for the last model, hoping to go for the latest version. I like to know a little more about the car. Something like, how do you change the rear brake pads when you have no handbrake.!

Hi Blackie,
I have a series 3 espace 2.2TD Ocober 1997 and have been after a UK manual for this model but Haynes dont and wont do one. What I was wondering, was whether you have done much work on my series of espace and whether you can advise on the ABS Pump/Wiring fault thread that I posted on about 13th january this year. Either this or do you want to sell the book....but my French translation might not be up to working things out even then. Knowing how to get at things, torque settings and wiring diagrams etc would be useful, as most other things are common workings to most other vehicles. I would appreciate any advice/quick note back as I need to sort things for the MOT which is looming up. Thx

Renault Espace Manual

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, as want to keep my manual for the time being.
I have no experience with the ABS or as such with the wiring. I have had trouble with the airbag and seat pretensioner warning light coming on. I don't think much can be done with it, the Renault dealer failed to stop this. It happens about every two months. One thing to watch for is when you rotate the front seats, you can trap and pull the seat belt connection, and you have to pull it out of the way. It is possible that poor connections could arise from this. I got my manual of the french amazon site. Check on the UK site as though you are ordering a book and you will get an idea of the questions etc you will asked as both sites are the same. My manual came thro promptly. Also I found a french to english translation programe. Type in the section you need and you will get a rough translation. Some of the technical words are not catered for, but a check with the dictionary will sort it.

Blackie - do you still have that Espace manual?

Could you possibly look up the torque setting for the cranshaft pulley for me please?

Appreciate your help.

Hi, printed manuals (3 volumes I think) for Espace3 and Espace IV are available from Renault UK to order, CD versions are also available, but I believe they are 120'ish each ... not to be confused with the workshop computer programme Dialogys, whis is for Renault Dealers and network partners only and not available to the public from official/legitimate sources.

Haynes say the cars are not popular enough to issue manuals for ... but things may change ... they did a combined Espace1 and Espace2 book eventually

Hope it helps

Why is it the older I get .... the better I think I was ?
