Angry to get rid of petrol from the diesel fuel tank

I have Renault Kangoo van model 2014, Diesel, and my wife was driving it and decide to fill it up, but put on petrol instead of Diesel, the tank had about 1/4 of diesel, was then filled up with petrol, 3/4 , what shall I do?

Re: to get rid of petrol from the diesel fuel tank

Managed exactly that probably only time my good lady filled my KIA

Correct answer is to get one of the recovery companies to drain it out, clean system and refill.

I pumped my own out into virtually anything that would hold petrol. Then brimmed tank to dilute any remaining as much as possible
Small amounts of petrol in diesel will not do any long term harm.
Too much can destroy lubrication of pump and really mess it up.
Small amounts of contaminated fuel went into whatever from friend's cars and motorbikes to lawnmower.... which did smoke a bit.
Two strokes such as hedge trimmers and chain saws luv a bit of diesel in their petrol
Currently in Dancingdad's garage:
Qashqai 1.6 spark driven, Kia Sedona 2.9 TDI, Scenic II 15DCi 2004 (SORN) not quite RIP.
Dancingdad is online now

diesel , fuel , petrol , rid , tank
