I have done it before but realised quite quickly.

Once towed a trailer for about 20 miles with its brake on. I realised when I saw the thick clouds of smoke behind - A landrover seems to have enough power to not notice

Lol I've done it a few times with the Questor already...

Worrying thing is it does it without any struggle or sign of hard work Car just pulls along effortlessly with the handbrake applied lol

That'll only dry the rears off though, and most of the braking is performed by the fronts. If I've driven through reasonably deep water, I tend to test the foot brake with my left foot while still applying the accelerator with my right. If I can feel the regular braking force coming back in, I'll release the pedal. If not, I'll keep it applied until the braking force comes back.
