First time Laguna owner

I have a number of issues.....if someone could point in a general direction i will happily search the forums for more detailed info....1.9 dci Laguna 02 Dyanamique...

1. Passenger front window only opens about an inch...previously working fine....

2. n/s rear door doesn't unlock with central locking..or if it does refuses to open on outside handle. Ok after opening from inside....previously worked without a problem

3. water seems to be leaking into passenger footwell.

4. high pitched whine occurring when pulling away in 1st gear....sounds like it might coming from the front o/s wheel area....

5. Engine hesitates sometimes around 2000 revs, if pedal kept pushed it clears but then engine light comes on..... egr valve?

Any help given is muchly appreciated.

Re: First time Laguna owner

Hello. The window and door problem may be connected with the water in the foot well, it may be passing through from the bonnet somewhere, if so it could be causing the fuse box in the glove box to be getting damp inside, might be worth checking that out. Also maybe take off the door card and have a look for any thing suspicious around the wiring loom. The noise you hear from the front wheel area could be a sticking caliper or maybe a worn bearing in the aircon motor this can cause a loud squeal, and it's near the bottom of the car. The low revs could be the egr valve, I would take this off and clean it out and see how you go from there. Hope this helps good luck.

Re: First time Laguna owner

What about the scuttle drains, the bane of renault and a few other manufacturers? Search scuttle drains and you'll find that's probably where your water is entering the car and possibly loads of things that can occur when water hits the electrics in that area.
