It is now becoming clear that Renault have not ironed out many of the faults that plagued early Laguna II's.
Up until recently it appeared that post late 2003 models were proving more reliable. However, there are now more and more posts appearing of the same faults with 2004 & 2005 models.
We were lucky enough to sell ours before the
went - we didn't have any symptoms but our local independent garage told us it was starting to leak
as the bearings were worn. Rear suspension bushes had also failed ( on an car that is rarely fully laden!!).
We, along with others are put off for life from buying a 1.9dci from Renault.
All modern cars are highly complex and WILL go wrong, no matter what make or model you buy. However, it appears that Renault still have alot to learn.
