Sorry to hear that mate, normally they appear to make a good reliable car, apart fro HG problem, you must have been unlucky.

We had Head gasket, exhaust, exhaust rubbers, 2nd exhaust, engine mount, cambelt (3 infact), head rebuild after valves were destroyed on HG repair), catalytic converter welded back together, tyres, coil pack, water pump, tracking rod replaced, tracking...

There is more but I can't remember it all!

Meganes are a pain to be honest. I wouldn't have another one. Granted when they work they are great cars but there always seems to be something that needs doing to them.

Ours still needs a new radiator, another engine mount, new cat converter, new fuel filter (I think) and a few other bits. It also needs a respray.

They are great cars and almost impossible to stop them running... even with a blown head gasket ours still soldiered on for over 4 months! Thing is though even though it carried on going its been expensive from the first day we had it. Not that I regret it because for a first time car its been very reliable for A-B stuff but it has been a nuisance when things go wrong when we're low on cash!
