Renaults are bloomin comfy though.
Bob that was the first thing that hit me in the face when my outlaws had their first Renault, the first one they had was a R16 I took one look at it and though jeez WTF in their right mind would by one of those. Sori Mom & Dad
When I sat in it now that was a different story, and driving it with column change was out of this world.
They had 4 or 5 R16s one after the other with the exception of just one.
During the run of R16s a mate of my FIL who owed a Ford dealership persuaded him to have a Ford Capri
He kept it for 3 or 4 weeks and traded it in for yet another R16
I'm guessing he started his run with Renaults around 1964, other than the Capri he's had nothing but Renaults ever since, he's got a Scenic now.......OMG and I started out on the same hop during 1969 with an R10 I'll swear the front seats were the same as the R16 HUGE!!!
