We had a problem like this ages ago when I lived with my folks. My mum found a letter under the windscreen wiper calling her all the things under the sun cos she parked outside the house opposite ours cos outside ours was full (we only had 1 car). It was quite a threatening and abusive letter, and the stupid d!ck signed it. My mum looked up the surname in the phonebook and sure enough it was the guy who lived across the road (Ford Probe driver ). Mum called the police and a bobby went round and basically told him to open a can of 'shut the fuk up' or face being arrested. Problem solved.
If these neighbours are being verbally abusive, you can involve police - but this could open a whole new can of worms.

simple solution if the come back to your door tell them if the dont like where the cars parked then call the police and just shut the door on them that way

1.they call the police (not you)

2. police show up (about two weeks later)

3. the police check your docs and return to the neighbours and put them straight

i think if you do this you will not hear from them again.

Offer to park the clio there as it's shorter and much prettier than an astra..

Also mention the NCAP rating if she has concerns about the safety of the vehicle

If that doesn't work I would order him a pizza at around 2.30am just to try to appease the situation..
