What car?!

Right guys and gals, I need your help!
My mum's looking for a new car, but 'fussy' doesn't begin to describe her!
Recent history of her cars are Mazda mx-3 and currently a Daihatsu Copen. Why did she choose these? Cos she liked the look of them! Didn't care how they drove, didn't care about anything apart from what they looked like (but to be fair, the Copen is great fun to drive - it's like a go-kart!). Now my sister's had her 2nd kiddy, mum needs back seats and so the Copen's gotta go.
The only guidance I've been given is small, 5 doors, pref. gold , price limit of 13k, needs to look 'girly'?!?!
I've suggested all of the mainstream motors, but to her they all look 'like normal cars'. She was about to go with a Mini until my sister poked her nose in and mentioned the new Clio - so now we're back at square 1.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Currently in nicolidus's garage:
BMW 325ti like an absolute prat!

Your Mum sounds just like my wife! As soon as my wife saw the Laguna for sale on the forecourt all she could say was "it,s beautiful, It,s beautiful and what a nice colour!

I did,nt really know much about Renaults, we were just looking at all Estate type cars but we ended up with the renault.

How about a new Seat Altea? It definately doesn't look normal!.
Second Hand Audi A2 or Mercedes A-class?
Citreon Berlingo(van with windows!)?
Peugeot 1007(with the electric sliding doors)?
Honda Jazz(we had one in the other day with a 7 speed tiptronic box.Totally unnecessary, but fun!) or Civic.
Minis are great fun to drive, but the rear seat space is as good as useless.
Surely a Megane doesn't look like a 'normal' car!?
I'm not sure I'd go for a new Clio,at least until all the faults (that are bound to be lurking on a new design) are ironed out.
How about spending 5 or 6 grand on an old shape Clio and using the rest of the money on having it sprayed pearlesent gold with a purple flip,18" rims and a wideboy bodykit, then it wouldn't look so normal!.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
