I think it depends what chipset is in your Sat Nav. Ive got the thermal windscreen in my car and dont have a problem with getting a signal with my Tom Tom one V2.

I think its got the more powerful Sirfstar III chip in or something which helps get the signal through the thermal windscreen.

Like tigs said, unless you want to get a new sat nav, get an aerial for it and mount it either side of the rear view mirror (in the black bits).

I really like mine and have done 10k in 6 months in it. I use a Navman 90i with no problems in mine though i do put it on the door glass as its out of the way but still easy to see.

I love my Lag II as well I've got an Initale as well, so built in satnav which is nice! In my old (unfortunately written off ) Expression, my o2 XDA Orbit worked fine even through the coated screen. It does have a SirfStar III GPS chipset in so that would explain the better performance. I did find that it helped to have it outside the car at first to get a lock, as it took forever from cold inside!

I'm another lag lover Someone even complimented its looks the other day

Bought the initiale thanks to the missus wanting full leather - I was all set for a dynamique... built in sat nav is great and a real bonus
