It would be best if you asked that question of the company that is providing the warranty. Some warranties insist the vehicle be serviced by a dealer only whilst others are happy enough to accept services carried by approved VAT registered garages. The advantage of sticking with the company that provides the warranty is that should anything go wrong in the future there is less likely to be any dispute over quality of service, etc.

servicing does not have to be carried out by a main agent for a warranty...just by a vat registerd garage and use equivalent quality parts

If you take Renault Harmony (which is administered by an insurance company NOT Renault although sold by them) the policy wording states that the car must be dealer serviced.

Other warranties may not be so fussy ... but dont forget the Renault Harmony, like all the others is just an insurance policy ... so argue/haggle hard with the dealer if thats the one you want .... I did and I got a 50% discount on the policy price.

Hope it helps

Why is it the older I get .... the better I think I was ?
