I don't see that it matters really. Even if you've been stiffed there isn't much you can do about it. You knew the price and paid it. Legally you'd have almost no come back on it as there are several legal terminologies involved - Offer, Acceptance etc etc.

Next time don't rush into buying a car - We've been burnt doing that. Take your time and hunt very carefully. We've done that twice with both our megane and safrane.

Megane has been a fab little car. Plenty of work done on it since we've had it but its still going - Took us about 3 months to find it too. Safrane.. ok the FSH was a let down and the lack of any recorded cam belt change BUT after hunting for months and finding it, I couldn't of found a better car.

It really does pay to be patient and shop around. The more you look, the more things you find that you need to watch out for which is a massive help!

I would have thought 7500 was about right 12 months ago, depending on where you bought it from and the general condition of it.

7500 will buy a reasonable mileage 53 or 04 plate new shape 2.2dCi Espace now,so working on that asumption I wouldn't have thought the price you paid was excessive.

Why are you worried about it now?.Have you been offered a very low trade in value for it?.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

Did you have a trade in against the car ?

It's the cost to change that is the main factor when buying from a dealer as some would allow for a greater trade in value etc

Warranty, road tax are all contributing factors in a cars resale value.

But prices for some models have dropped drastically on used car forecourts .

Their are some very very good deals to be had if you can absorb the higher mpg and projected V.E.D increases due from 2009 on some models
