Active drive question + CO2 emissions question

Does anyone know whether the Active Drive 4ws system is going to be available on Renaults apart from the Laguna GT and Laguna Coupe?

Also does anyone know if there are lower emission 2.0+ litre diesels on the way from Renault?

I am a Renault nut who is interested in the Laguna GT and active steer in general. But I live in Ireland and the GT suffers badly under our C02 based taxation system. This affects initial purchase price, annual motor tax and probably resale value.

For example the GT diesel costs 600 euro a year to tax whereas a BMW 520d costs 150 a year and the new Audi A4 2.0 TFSI (211 bhp) petrol costs 290. So if Renault were to reduce the emissions of the GT and/or offer active drive on lesser Lagunas or the Megane, I'd be a happy man.

I can't see the 4ws system being offered on lesser Renaults in the near future to be honest. The system is a bit of a gimmick and can only be added to premium models to make a profit at the moment.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
