I wonder if there is a manual override of some type? I think it's mad on the Espace the way that allowing the kids to use the windows means they can open the door and fall out They should be 2 seperate systems.

On my Lag 11 2002 the child locks for the rear doors are hidden inside the edges of the rear doors and are locked-unlocked by using a turn switch, I cannot remember whether you have to use a screwdriver to do this, I will have a look tommorow.

2002 Laguna Sports Tourer 1.8 Dynamique Moondust VF1KGOB, Fiat Siecento Micheal Schumaker, Kawasaki KLE M/Cycle and a cheap Mountain Bike.

From what I can remember from the handbook Davesss is right, there is a manual override on each of the rear doors.
Underneath a 'grommet' not the "more cheese" type!
The childlock can be disabled and reapplied by turning the mechanism with a screwdriver. And is located inside the edges of the doors.

Got a new French Striker, got a new Dutch midfielder, Southgate has lost his Woody!. And, unfortunately, still got a space in the trophy cabinet...
