Help prioritising MOT advisories

Help prioritising MOT advisories

Hi guys, can anyone help either explain roughly what these things are or how important, i.e. can they wait until next years MOT then take it in knowing it needs to be done OR, are horrible things going to happen if I don't do them soon? Any help appreciated.

Re: Help prioritising MOT advisories

if its the cost you are looking at try and get one item a mth fixed so your ready for next years mot
you see some mot history where the same advisory comes up every year mainly very low mileage cars though
best person to talk to is the mot examiner as he has seen the parts affected

Re: Help prioritising MOT advisories

Exhaust 1st hopefully its just a clamp and not rusted through flange, but due to safety from fumes get checked asap.
oil leak get checked - may be a long term no action needed misting or requiring some form of action.
anti-roll bar bushes are cheap and fitting should be fairly easy / cheap
now torsion bar bushes, depending on what examiner means will be most expensive / time consuming and difficult to do.

Re: Help prioritising MOT advisories

thanks for replies, it's not so much the cost, as getting as much mileage out of things before changing them, like there was also an advisory on a tyre and I've looked at it with a gauge and I am very happy with it, looks like it will last all summer.

With the exhaust, I think it could be on the way out as there's a bit of corrosion on the exhaust he said. With the rubber bits, I simply don't know how important they are.

The rubber bushes
If the car feels unstable going around a roundabout ,,, they need changing, sooner rather than later...

I remember the first time I saw a universal remote control, and I thought to myself.

"Well this changes everything
