Hi Mike

I think you are looking at having the car recovered to your local Renault dealer .

Hopefully other Members will offer some advice

If you are in AA / RAC etc. they may be able to get you into the car. I think the only way of getting a spare is from a Dealer. They will need the log book to confirm ownership and will then need to order from Renault France, the key will then need coding to the car by them, so you will need to get the car to them somehow.
I think there was a chap on the forum who was getting replacement keys from a Renault sub dealer at about half price (normally around 120 his was about 50 - 60). A forum search should throw up more info, also do not be tempted by cheap cards from e-bay, they can not be recoded.

Just a thought - have you key protection with your insurer? I took this out when I bought my policy with Renault, probably never need it but you just never know.
