Iím not sure if Iím way off beam with what the original posters question was, but without any disrespect to anyone on here, no matter what Renault says from my experiences, I wouldnít recommend you tow more than 85% of the car weight, because the more weight you put on the tow hook, the more unstable the rig becomes, this in turn makes the entire experience of towing a caravan very uncomfortable for both the driver of the car, and those that follow him from behind, and therefore probably also gives the caravan towing fraternity a bad name.
BTW with an auto gearbox, an oil cooler may be required.
