And I thought Scenic III will be presented in Geneva, two months from now ...

Seriously now, as long as I'm aware, face-lifted models (mid-2006 and on) had most of the early reliability issues resolved ...

when i say scenic 3 i mean the first of the new shape as they upgraded mk1 anyway problems to be aware of

dephaser pulley petrol version 500.00 can go at circa 12k miles
windows do not work
fan for heater does not work dash out expensive
turbos blow circa 40k miles well expensive
fap filter fills up on 130 dci 600 approx
steering creaks can cost up to 2k to fix
injection light comes on with diesels
electric handbrake sticks on
dashboards go out circa 400-550 pounds
keyless stops working 200 a door
brake discs only last 30k
this is on vehicles that have covered between 12-40k miles

need i go on
as these vehicles can only be worked on by renault at circa 100 pounds per hr we are talking serious money
and if you are looking at ex motorbility and see a printout with nothing but service work thats because all the faults are fixed under warranty thats why they dispose of them at three years

read the link it is disturbing stuff!!!

One thing to remember is that car forums are full of people with problems, thats any make of car not just Renault.
Yes the early Scenic II Mk I had issues, but they have been resolved and the later MkI and the MkII were much improved. Also many of the ultra expensive problems have been encountered and fixed by our members and at a greatly reduced cost.
Currently in chris m's garage:
2000 Scenic 2.0 16v Monaco, BMW 3 Series, Pug 206
