this is goin to become my main car I'm not selling my current car as I will need it for the weekend when I'm trailing wheelchairs / Food shopping / grandmothers around =)

So I will need something that is going to be reliable for quite a while.

Are there any "Dealers" associated with this forum like others or is this wholley independent or are there any recommendations, I'm in Norfolk (someone has to live here) but can travel.

Do you know anyone that knows a thing or two about cars that you could take with you when you do go to look at a car ? If you havent I would strongly reccomend paying for the AA or RAC to give it the once over, and to purchase an aftermarket warranty on the car (do it regardless anyway)

True, the car could have been serviced, just not had its book stamped etc, but are you willing to take that risk ? I know I wouldnt be.

Well, there's always that possibility, but I'd be expecting to see bills for the parts needed for the service he'd have performed to support that.

The other likelihood is that whoever owned the car at that period just didn't want to pay for the work to be carried out at all.

It may even have had the mileage 'adjusted' - there's really no way to tell, and that's the problem.

Cars can and do go 'wrong' regardless of servicing, that's very true, but its also true that each successive owner cares less (and spends less) on the car (as a general rule of thumb) - and you'd be the fifth owner this car's had in 6 years. How well have the previous 4 looked after it, if they haven't maintained a service record?

At the end of the day, its really up to you what you decide, although I suspect your heart really wants 'this' car, and its the doubts in your head which prompted you to post this thread in the first place.

Do you have the link for the car on eBay ?

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
