Angry Garage Problems

I have been having a barrel full of problems with my 03 Renault Megane extreme recently. I have it on HP at the minute and it is currently under warranty. Having recently left it back to the Renault dealer as it had broken down, I received it back only to find that it was not fixed and showed the same problems within minutes. I called out the AA to recover the car and they left it back to the same Renault dealer. What are my rights? I have been refused a courtesy car even though they are holding on it (again). Needless to say this is really stressing me out

Sounds like a call to Renault Customer Service is in order. Not allowing you a courtesy car is a bit rum. Saying that, if you had it towed in it might be that they simply had none available?

Welcome to the forums by the way

It often depends on how hard you stamp your feet. If you're booking your car in for a service and they don't have a courtesy car available at short notice, then that's fair enough. If they've made a dog's dinner of the repair and your car has to go back in, then they are at fault and they should find you a set of wheels from somewhere, even if it's off the used car sales forecourt.

I had this once with a MkII Astra, hideously bodged by a Vauxhall dealer who had been paid the going insurance rate to do a proper repair. When I had to give the car back because they'd put one of the headlights in crooked (I kid you not, it was dipped down by about 20 degrees) they told me I couldn't have a loan car. A short discussion later, and I had the workshop manager's car for the day while they put mine right
