To swap or not?

Been offered a 2001 Espace with the 2.2dCi engine plus 1500 for my Satis. Its in good nick, fsh and just been serviced with a new cambelt, 61k. I'm really in a quandry now, i like my Satis but the price of spares is horrendous because they are all virtually unique to the model. Espace spares are a lot more reasonable and easier to come by, its also more room for my fishing gear. Its not as luxurious as the Satis but very nice anyway. I'd appreciate others folks views......

Personally speaking Andy, I'd consider it.

1500 is pretty close to what the market price is for your car (I only got 2500 for mine, and at one point I was offered 1000 against a 6-month Chrysler 300C).

If the Espace is in good enough condition (and you know from here what the faults are), try getting a bit more for your own car as a sweetner to clinch the deal.

That money can pay for a decent warranty, a couple of services and your tax & insurance - therefore you get a sound car, plus a year's free motoring (excluding fuel of course).

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
