Scenic 2/Laguna 2 - Pre-Purchase Advice

time to trade in my V reg for an 04/05 scenic/lag but can't decide, I love the Lag 2 for it's comfort and the cruise control but want as much economy as poss, it would have to be diesel and the scenic 1.5 looks to be the most economical but don't think it has c/c and not sure if it would be as comfy, have also read some threads on Lag 2 fuel economy and they don't look so positive, so it's a toss up at the moment and would like to hear what others have decided before I go ahead, thanks

I guess the best thing would be to try them both first.

I had a Scenic RX4 for 6 years, as far as comfort goes, I'll say that it was the most comfortable car to drive long distances that I have ever had. The interior was pretty much the same as the Scenic 1.

I quite like the more upright seating position of the MPV's

My dad used to consistently get 50MPG+ on his company Lag 2 1.9 dCi... Then again, it was also the only one in the company that didn't suffer turbo failure

Not so sure the 2.2dCi will be so good, if the G9T uses essentially the same block as the G8T in my car, it weighs substantially MORE than most V6 petrol engines, which can't be good for economy... Or handling...
