Cheer up Baz and as I recall you did ask for comment.Would you want people to lie and lead you down a dishonest path?
The way to buy a car is to get references from others it is much the same for most purchases. I am sure those qualified on this forum will have, like me (in my day)advised on what not to buy only to find they buy it anyway and then come moaning about problems they have. Yes there are 200k+ models but they are exceptions rather than rules.Give me an honest forum where all are allowed comment anyday, and who knows yours could be trouble free!

Again, to echo Pat & Hondo, I've NEVER have any problems with either of my LagII's. The only reason that I replaced my first one is that I terminally bent it!

As I say there will always be exceptions but beat this-- When Datsun was all the rage way back, a punter told us he did not like his and would not buy another!!
Hows that for an exception, it was unheard of.

Evening Gents,
My father has had his 03 Laguna II 1.9dci Techno from new and it hasn't missed a beat. It now has 66,00 miles on the clock and is still looking good. I bought it from him a few months ago and everthing is fine and it's going well..........thats until the clutch started slipping today

Regards SB

I too have a laguna 2 Dci Dymanique with 67k on the clock. (2004 04 plate)
I am getting 47mpg at the moment but mainly longish runs but Iam light on the pedal.
A couple of niggles on my car the electric passenger window refuses to budge unless you give it a helping hand (will get that fixed when i get round to it) and the stupid xeon lights that self adjust - too low for my liking but will sort that again when i have time.
Ok not as good on juice as my Smart car or £35 road tax but it is nice to drive and i can get my fishing gear in (no way would i get that in the Smart) all in all am happy with it.
One thing to bear in mind, I always join either news groups or forums when i buy a car and yet I have to find a forum that everyone says there car is fantastic, thats not what forums are about, its all about helping each other with problems.
Stick with the car you will get to like it.
There again I used to love my Hillman imp and my Isetta bubble car
