My current car, a vectra 03 is on 105k.
Looking at a laguna tourer with 68k on it today and the highest mileage car I have had was an h reg Nissan sunny that I got for 100 as a stop gap, had it up to 225k miles and was still running sweet!!

Re: Highest Mileage Car.. post your mileage

1) Grand Scenic 55-plate 1.9dCi (F9Q) 6-speed manual: 115,000 miles on 9K oil changes since new, always on C3 grade oils. Engine never needed a spanner. Just electrical items like dash, parking brake, window regs., keycards, etc. Cost over last 4 years: 27 pence/mile including depreciation, insurance, tax, fuel, maint. etc. 42mpg.

2) BMW 1998 E36 323i (2.5 litre straight six) Saloon, 5-speed manual: 220,000 miles, also on 9-10K oil change intervals of Castrol Magnatec 10w40. Never missed a beat in last 5 years, needing only alternator and cat outside regular consumables. Total Cost over last 5 years (75,000 miles): 27 pence/mile including depreciation, insurance, tax, fuel, maint. etc. 32mpg. Heading for 250,000 before I even think about replacing it? Why take scrappage on a good car?
Currently in Flintstone's garage:
Grand Scenic II 2005 1.9dCi 130 FAP (F9Q), 6sp Manual, 102K. + BMW 323i E36 Avus Blue, 205K.

Re: Highest Mileage Car.. post your mileage

I picked up my renault Laguna 2002 1.8 petrol 4 months ago with 115,000 on the clocks now runing 122,658 and no problems yet! (touch wood, Im too broke to fix it if it does go kaput!) altho I might add I know the previous owner and it was NEVER serviced never had an oil change, still had the original plugs in and filter, the only thing that car ever got was a thrashing and new tyres when it required, but that wasnt untill the canvas was hanging out D: its a stupid thing to not look after your car really, ive serviced it and maintained it well and its doing me good so far !
