change intervals of Castrol Magnatec 10w40. Never missed a beat in last 5 years, needing only alternator and cat outside regular consumables. Total Cost over last 5 years (75,000 miles): 27 pence/mile including depreciation, insurance, tax, fuel, maint. etc. 32mpg. Heading for 250,000 before I even think about replacing it? Why take scrappage on a good car?
