Just purchased probably the highest mileage Lag on the forum, 2006, 1 owner (was the guys company hack then his own) 220,000 miles :eek::eek:

Drives like new, bodywork and interior near mint and not a warning light to be seen!

Yep I know I took a chance, but it was calculated, if it blows up tomorrow I'll still get my money back :d

1/ A one owner 12 year old (42,000miles) Renault 7 that I bought for my eldest daughter to learn to drive in.

"Dad it looks like an old mans hat, and the handbrake is in the wrong place"

Folding down armrest on the drivers seat sold it for me! so 2 years later she had passed her test in a golf and "Mad Piere" went to the breakers with 152K on the clock and a floor-pan that was in the words of my local garage " a lots of welding held together by a few bits of floor-pan".

2/ A 3 year old one owner Renault 18, bought at my local car auction with 98K on the clock for £1250 (my first car with electric windows). Went to 245k when it was written off when a boy racer who ran a red light.

3/ An 06 plate Megan diesel estate bought for £3000 3 years ago with 92k on the clock.
The passenger side window is U/S, and I am on my second card key, but she is now at 148K and averaging 62MPG based on actual fuel purchased.
With ant luck this one should go to beyond 250K

P.S 41,000 miles on the Hankook eko front tyres, the rear tyres are still on at 44,000 miles.

2003 Laguna V6 Initiale, 142000 miles (228000 km).

Engine running now well after few fixes, but transmission shouts my attention desperately. Body and interior is in good condition, but have small issues like Nav Sat wants cd inserted (which I don't have), clock doesn't keep time, seat electrics don't work, some loose misc stuff, dashboard coatings (rubbery stuff on center console hatches) starting to come off, engine room plastics all gone, tires shake, loose transmission mounts etc. But hey! no rust in underparts.. :) (excluding exhaust)

Still very happy with mine. First have to remove gearbox and teach it to behave properly, and when the summer comes going to do cambelt change, mounting fixings, interior & exterior fixing/polishing, new wheels&rims, stiffer and lower suspension, real dual exhaust (from manifolds) ,etc.

(Just lost the post)

We had a 2001 Clio 2 with a mileage of about 350,000 miles in 14 months and out of warranty . Actually it had done about 8,000 miles. To be fair Renault UK coughed up £200 against a £400 repair bill - BUT the mechanic entered 350,000 in the Renault computer and when we came to sell it, it was on the books as high mileage or a 'clocked mileage car'.

Re: Highest Mileage Car ---189334---

Hi
My 1994 (L reg) 1.8 rt Laguna has just passed its MOT at

189334 miles!

Really great car - comfy, smooth, quiet. Think it does about 37 ish mpg.

Have had it since October 2005 (back then it had just had a new cam belt and recon gearbox). Purrs like a cat and burns minimal to no oil. Best everyday driver I have had. I try to keep it clean and nice and change the oil and filter every 6000 ish and now has a k&n Air filter.

Worst thing that happened to it was that it kept jumping out of 5th gear when I was driving up the motorway 4 years ago. The fork in the gearbox was burnt and buggered to hell. But I was told that the gearbox fluid was too low (had recently had the driveshaft changed and I think the fluid had leaked out then so I am largely to blame for not checking)

Have to clean up the starter connection occasionally, but A LOVELY RELIABLE CAR (Dont listen to Top Gear)

Beautiful car - no intention to change it

100000 miles now on clock running just as it did at 34000 when I got the car on it's 3rd set of tyres, due it's second cam belt in Apr 2015, two track rod ends, two steering rack boots, 1 oil cooler, 1 battery, 1 set of shoes 1 set of pads 2 discs 1 thermostat, EGR disabled, 1 head light £20 tax and low insurance 70 MPG cheapest car I have ever run, oil stays very clean for a Diesel gets changed once a year about 10,000 miles looking at some mileages it may still be running in another 10 years will run it till it dies.
