Would have thought this information would be widely publicised.

I thought that it was very well known that it you drive in this fashion then you drive more economically. Put less fuel in, and you get less harmful gasses out

If the co2 ratings were based on a car traveling at 56mph, you wouldnt save much, but now I know they are based on the combined cycle, we know we can.

I would believe its measured when the DoT carry out the fuel consumption tests, and it'll be an average of what was produced during the cycle (I presume the fuel economy cycle is more than a Km).

There is a direct relationship between mpg & CO2/Km, so to me, it would make most sense for them to be measured at the same time.
