Hello - Renault Scenic 2 advice wanted

Hi all,

i've just written off my 8 year old Picasso and will be test driving a Scenic 2 1.6 Dynamique on Friday. It's an 07 plate, 12 900 on the clock & up for 7495 which seems a good price from the research I've done so far. My only concern at this point (having not yet seen the car) is whether the 1.6 will be a big enough engine. I'm ceratinly not a speed merchant ( see picasso!) but want something that nippyish and ok on longer drives.

Re: Hello

I have driven a scenic 1.6 VVT in both manual and auto. The manual is better then the auto version but both need to be worked hard. There is also an even worse 1.4 16v. I would go for a DCI diesel either the 1.5 DCI 106 6 speed or 1.9 DCI 130 6 speed.

I don't have a garage just a driveway. The Modus 1.6 16v VVT Dynamique Auto is my Grandparents car which I also drive.
