Thanks for the replies, they have helped a lot. I will read the threads that martyboi posted.

Regarding the motivation of doing it I would say its to drive fast but also improve experience and skills. Also I enjoy driving vehicles.

Earlier I was looking on Youtube at a track day at Elvington airfield (near York), they had fitted a camera inside an MR2 lapping the airfield, and it looked pretty good, I was quite impressed by it.

Like a lot of things I want to do I cannot see this happening for a few years though. I suffered with poor health for a couple of years which has only been made better fairly recently, so its made me realise that things I want to do I should try to do at some point (eg this and building a car, which I mentioned on another thread).
