The Lag 1 is an excellent second hand buy. I love mine too..
Before you buy though there are a few things to check, as with any second hand car.
One of the first would be the cambelt, buying one of the age you are looking for now means the the belt should have been replaced regardless of how many miles the car has done.
The official Renault time is 72,000 miles or 5 years whichever is the sooner.
Gear boxes seem to be a weaker point. Make absloutely sure that neither of the drive shafts are leaking
from the gear box end. If so then chances are the gear box is low on
A good Renault service history is another good sign that the car has been well looked after.
One final point. Some Lag 1's are prone to letting water into the rear foot wells. Not too much of a problem but I've yet to find out where it comes from.
Hope this helps and good luck. Kind regards Oily
