Am taking a chance and buying a Laguna 2!!!

I have decided that i am going to sell my lag 1 and buy a lag 2 despite all of the posts i have read on here about how bad they are.

It sounds like the 1.8 16v is the best of a bad lot and i am going to go for the Tourer version as in my view these look the best. Is this the best model to go for?

Also, i am aware that i need to check the electrics and also full service history but what else do i need to look out for?? Suspension seems to be a common problem on these aswell but how and what do i need to look out for??

Any information would be useful and if you know of a good one for sale please let me know. I have about 1600 to spend and am looking for a 2001-2003 model.

thanks for your time

actually in my opinion and many motoring mags opinion, the 1.9dci 120 or 130 is the best engine. as long as the turbo has been changed if its done 100k miles or so and if it hasnt, inspect it carefully, then you cant go wrong with a car with a full survice history and, preferably (like mine) one owner from new.
