Scenic recall info

Is there a website i can check what recalls myScenic ay have had carried out?

I am tring to establish if a possible dash clock change is the reason for a mileage discrepancy bought to light on an MOT history check.

Thanks people

Re: Scenic recall info

I would guess the only way you'll find out if your car has been subject to any non-safety recalls is to contact a dealer,it might be on a database available to all dealers but I suppose it's possible that you may have to go back to the dealer that sold or serviced the car.I'm not 100% sure that the dashboard was part of a recall though,Renault offer a fixed fee replacement if the car is out of warranty but I'm pretty sure they didn't ever recall the Scenic 2 for the dashboard failure problems.

The dash panel may have a date on it,it's worth removing it and checking that the date matches the age of the car.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

Re: Scenic recall info

I am pretty sure that the dash replacement was/is not a recall item, only replaced as and when for a 100 maximum cost. Your best bet would be to check with the dealers to find the history of your vehicle.

Re: Scenic recall info

Ford has a global system called AWS (Automated Warranty System), whereby all items replaced by warranty (such as a recall, or other manufacturing defect), or goodwill is logged.

I can't see any reason why Renault would not operate a similar system, and would suggest contacting Renault Customer Services who should be able to tell you over the phone, or print out a copy of the record (for a small charge).
