Thumbs up Renault Scenic II tyre pressure system

I want to share my recent experience with the tyre pressure monitor in my Scenic II. I got the SERVICE message when I just started a long trip to my town. It was telling that one of my back tyre flat gone flat. I stopped and checked but the tyre seemed OK. I called Renault emergency service by phone and they told me it may be a sensor failure if the tyre is OK and they advised me to continue my trip in a controllled manner. There was about 5 hours to my target and I continued my trip. I was very busy and I couldn't take my car to the Reanult garage immediately after I reach my home. After 2 days the mentioned tyre was completely flat. It wasn't a sensor fail, there was a small nail in my tyre which discharge the tyre slowly. So I understood that the tyre pressure system was working perfectly.
But on the other hand there was a problem in the message screen. When there is the SERVICE message on the screen that writes "change the tyre" it blocks all the other trip monitor screens. As in my example I couldn't see any other information during the rest of my trip. Is there a way to inhibit the alarm temporary.
Secondly, Is there a way to see the actual pressure values in the screen. It only gives the tyre is OK or not at the moment but I believe thre may be way to see the actual values. There is brochure of Scenic I have, and in the pages mentioning the tyre pressure monitor I saw a dashboard photo with the actual values of tyres.
In my previous car (a Ford Focus), there were some button combinations to see the service data screen.

Don't know if its the same for the Scenic as the Laguna - but on our Laguna if you "press the button" on the end of the stalk for the trip computer it allows you to see other information. The warning signs, low fuel,service/low screen wash etc still take a priority - letting you know, which is a good thing, but you can still view the other information normally by scrolling through the various options.

I'm not sure about the Scenic, but the Laguna came with two variations of the tyre pressure monitor display. One did show the actual pressures, while the other just showed which wheels (if any) had a problem.

To confuse matters further, early Lag IIs that did show the pressures only showed them for a few seconds after the engine started, or if there was a low reading or sensor fault. Later models (from late 2002 I think) let you check the pressures while driving as one of the modes on the trip computer.

As far as I'm aware, there's no way of disabling the system without dealer intervention. You're stuck with the display until you get the problem fixed. If you have full colour sat-nav on the Phase 1 Laguna II, this is doubly annoying, because it insists on obscuring the right hand third of the map with a diagram of the car (highlighting the problematic wheels) until you get it resolved.
