Re: Grinding noise on acceleration, all gears, quiet when upto speed, manual Laguna I
Thanks all, I've just been out testing it again,
It***8217;s worse when it's cold started. I've just came back from work and went right back out on a warm engine to test, after reading the above
When warm, the only way i can get it to sound, is from moving off in 2nd. But I***8217;m sure it happens in any gear between 900-1200 revs (we in 2nd for sure). It doesn't feel like it's lost any power, still a monster.
The sound is, if you can imagine the simplest clutch, but with two plates made out of a coarse metal (or fine stone) as one spins and is placed against the other the grinding sound starts and obviously stops when both travel at a constant.
I've read about the mounts (dogbones), when I get my new jack this weekend, I***8217;m going to be right on the case. what damage can be done due to having a duff mount?
