Problem with Renault Clio electric windows

hi i have a clio 2 door with e/windows but i have a problem the passenger side will go down but wont go up i have tried a new motor and switch but does'nt make any difference and also it will not open from the drivers side switch can any one give me some advice cheers

Hello Jason,welcome to the forum.

If you can replace the drivers side switch cheaply(i.e second hand),then this would be your best bet.The passenger and drivers side switches are linked,so if the drivers side one is faulty,it will effect the passenger side one.

If this doesn't help,then you'll have to get a multimeter or test light out and check what feeds you have to the motor when you work the switches.Hopefully from there you can trace the feed back to the faulty compnent.

Also,check the wiring into the door where it goes through the door shut(where the hinges are).The wires have a tendency to break off due to the door being opened and closed repeatedly.
