Does anybody know if renault can tell if you have your ECU remapped?

How much does it cost on avarage for a remap and do they include a RR print out also?

any feedback would be great.

Yes and no. Yes if they disassemble the ECU and send it back to a lab (probably somewhere in France). No, if you are referring to your average dealer. Unless the ECU is changed as part of the remap, in that case, a visual inspection will reveal all.

You still need to declare the remap to your insurance company though.

As to cost, I don't know about Renault's, but my Octavia RS was remapped by Jabbasport and was around the £600 including rolling road time and print out of the vital stats (graph).

Have a look at RSTuning they do the Remap on your car for about 250 I think.

If you have a chat with them mention the forum, they are going to do some offers for members so worth a try.

Let us know how you get on.
