Renault Scenic ignition coils

I have used the forums in the past for minor things with great results.

But when my scenic started playing up, the revs were holding back & then catching up in 2nd & 3rd gear, the car was sort of boating now & again.

I new it would be at least a couple of hundred pounds at Renault.(88.00 for the diagnostic just to start with. )

So I had a quick look on here & found the posts on coils !!

Anyway a quick trip to Europarts, 27.00 for the coil , (halfords & a local dealer wanted 49.00), a T30 x 79mm torx bit.

One of the posts mentioned that the second from left coil usually went first, so we tried that & low and behold it worked.

I am totally useless when it comes down to cars, but I was totally impressed.

So a big thanks you to everyone involved in this forum, including the admin.

I'm taking the kids to see the Fairford air show in Sunday with the money I saved.

Excellent work Spence. It's great to get some positive feedback.

Don't spend all your money, though.Theres still another 3 coils to go wrong yet.....

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
