Current fuel consumption

I have had my 55' reg. 1.9dCi hatch - Extreme for four weeks and I am puzzled by the trip computer.

My handbook lists the displays that should be available, including the Current fuel Consumption. However when I scroll through the displays, the Current fuel Consumption does not appear; it simply moves on the next one.

I have contacted my garage, who just say that it is working normally.

Please could other users let me know whether I should expect to see the current fuel consuption displayed.

I get the impression from reading the messages under the thread - Average Fuel consumption - that some users are able to identify the highest MPG obtained on any journey.

If my Laguna should be displaying the Current fuel consumption readout, please could someone let me know where I can get an 'authoritive decision' that I can present to my garage and hopefully get them to investigate tyhe problem as it is still under the manufacturers warranty.

For some reason (probably Agincourt) current consumption is there on the European models (metric trip computer configuration) but not on the UK ones (imperial configuration.)

Unfortunately, Renault translated the manual into English verbatim, and so it documents a feature that isn't actually available on the car.
Currently in Horatio's garage:
2010 Laguna III Initiale.
