Unhappy x2 water leaks in rear footwells

I have have just noticed that I have two huge water logged areas in each of the rear footwells of my CC.............I noticed when on my way home last night in the heavy rain on the motorway that the roof seals were letting in a small amount of water in, but not enough to warrant this amount. It is in a very specific place and has not run down the seats in front at all. I have already had my roof seals re done once since I got the car 11 months ago...........so Im pretty sure it isnt that.

Does anyone know of anyway that water can get in underneath the car into the back, and if so what can I do............

At the mo im in the process of drying it out by leaving it running with the heating on, after I have mopped up the excess amount of water.....

Any ideas anyone?

This rings a dim and distant bell, back in the days of the MkII Astra, which often used to suffer from a similar problem. The floor pan has holes in it to allow it to be mounted on various jigs during assembly. These holes are sealed with little plastic plugs, which (in the case of the Astra) become brittle with age and then drop out. Water splashes the underneath of the car and ends up coming up through the carpets. Maybe something along the same lines has happened to your car.

To be honest though, I wouldn't worry about it too much. The car's still well inside its warranty period, so bang it into the dealer and let them figure it out.
