leaky wheel cylinders and replacing brake shoes

hi i wonder if anyone can help I have a leaky rear wheel cylinder and have been told its probably better to replace the shoes aswell. I am slightly confused though, on euro car parts one section is for rear brake pads and shoes, and another section for brake shoes. Could someone please tell me what i need to buy? do I just have shoes at the back or do I have pads to? is there a difference between rear brake shoes and brake shoes?

many thanks

by thr way i have a renault laguna estate 1.8 16 v alize 1999

Hello Martin,welcome to the forum.

If you have wheel cylinders, then you have shoes.Trouble is,I suspect there is a choice of shoes that would have been fitted to your car.I think the best thing is to phone them up and actually explain the fact that you need rear shoes and cylinders. This should avoid any confusion.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
