Your first time? Just relax, take it easy and enjoy the whole experience.

Oh, hang on...ahh, learning to drive...

Same thing - just relax and listen to the instructor. We all know that everyone has to learn, so other road users will be patient...

My advice is listen to no one except your instructor, when family and friends started to interfere i found they only made me more nervous. Do as much reading as possible, and take note of what's happening on the road when you're a passenger.

The nerves don't just disappear when you pass your test, i remember when i passed mine I thought that was the end of the nerves. When in fact it was almost 12 months later before I was comfortable behind the wheel and I started to notice other people learning to drive - feeling sorry for them

It'll come, be patient
