John Boy

Purchased a Megane 1.6 VVT AUTO OASIS in December brand new. Whilst driving to work this morning my rear window just expoded.

I have also experienced problems with the alarm which turned out to be an issue with the Ultrasonics.

An ongoing issue with the car is with either the steering or the brakes when parking. Terrible grinding noise

Welcome to the forum John Boy. There have been previous posts regarding exploding rear windows try a forum search for more info. There have also been posts regarding brake noises. Hopefully one of our resident mechanics or renault techs will be able to help further.

Do the brakes grind mainly in reverse? If so, new pads solved this for one member. The issue of exploding windows has certainly been discussed in the past as Chris says
